South Shore, KY | Router will not connect after outage. My local dslam was down today and was repaired by a WS tech late this afternoon. After the repair I was able to connect with the Speedstream 4300 after putting my dsl Username and password in. Once i verified connectivity I placed the modem back in bridge mode and tried to reconnect my router. I entered the PPPoE info into the router and tried to connect and the router will not connect. This setup has worked for the last 3 years or so, and I am a networking tech so it's not like I don't know how to set up a router.
My question is what may have changed during the repair of the dslam that would prevent my router from establishing the PPPoE connection? The phone support was useless, and actually hung up on me. Any help would be great.
