1 edit | [Connectivity] UDP fine, TCP random traffic halt For the last 4 or 5 days, and only at night, I keep having TCP traffic completely halt for anywhere from 2 to 10 seconds, but UDP traffic is unaffected.
I called tech Tuesday (I think it was Tuesday) and he said everything looked fine, but that doesn't really mean anything.
Monday when I called, I got the automated message that there was maintence. Tuesday when I called, there was a long pause after saying Tech Support before it asked if I wanted to end the call or be connected to someone, so if there was a message, it was a blank message. I told the tech that I had that if there was a message about an outage in the area, it was a broken message and he didn't say anything about if there was one or not.
I haven't called tonight yet. I'm going to as soon as I post this.
Anyone else having issues, only at night, in the Charleston WV area?
edit: called. automated message said nightly maintenance. Which means, they have been doing nightly maintenance 4 days in a row, that is causing serious service interruption. So, does anyone thing 4 days in a row is enough to demand a service credit. -- irc:irc.rscript.org/stats (I'm Gary)

 | You should call in and atleast try for a credit. I believe they will automatically approve a credit if it's 24 hours of disruption (or so the website leads me to believe, haven't actually had that much outage in a couple years myself) |

Cant say you will get credit considering its "maintenance at regular times" But can say If you have ongoing phone issues for YEARS and slow internet issues during the evening they will credit you 2 months of phone cable and internet. But maybe 22+years of continuous cable service and on time payments helped get that credit. (except in January where the check got lost in the mail) The mail service has gotten crappy here lately bills come in randomly when they get sent out the same time each month. But glad you came to the one place where you can get competent help. |
