[Reception] Degraded reception in new car.

In 2010 I purchased an RX-350 with navigation and built in XM Radio. I experienced very few signal dropouts. I recently purchased a 2013 RX-350 without the navigation system but with XM Radio. I am disappointed with the sensitivity of the new radio. I experience frequent signal drop outs at locations where I did not experience drop outs with radio installed in the 2010 RX-350. Does anyone reading this thread have any theory why more frequent signal drop outs with the new vehicle. Thanks

I know equipment can vary but have you discussed it with the dealer?
