said by :said by PJL:Mac973, thanks for the list. I'm hearing Southern California isn't on the horizon, so I wanted to know how many NYC is getting. Clearly it isn't a capacity issue -- they just don't have plans to add the Los Angeles channels.
it will probably come at some point but NYC is a more competitive market than LA Not really. The VHO3 coverage area has more OTA television channels and much larger geographic area (it spans from Palm Springs on the east, to Ventura on the west, to north San Diego county on the south, to the mountains on the north. But your point is well taken. |

Wish they will mention if the channel is in SD, 720p or 1080i. Also, would be nice to add an option to default to watch on device all the time. -- 75/35 Fios, Triple Play Extreme. |

Channels under 500 are SD, and over 500 HD -- the same as on the normal lineup. Further, the expanded view of the channel list says HD for the HD channels. Once you "watch here" for the first channel, all other are automatically played when you switch to them. Do you need something more? |

I know but on the main page, you still have to tap twice to watch on device. Also, even though the channel is in HD, it looks pixelated sometimes so it'd be nice to have "confirmation" that it is showing in HD.
Those are just positive feedback to improve the experience, not complaining. I'm quite happy with the update. -- 75/35 Fios, Triple Play Extreme. |

 | Just tried watching BBC America HD on my HTC phone on a 3G connection. Video looked smooth and very good. Only 8 channels available however - 4 SD and 4 HD, one of which I don't have a subscription to. |

On the iOS app you can login on wifi, turn wifi off and still watch all the channels. Not sure how long until it checks for a refresh. |

The buffering is not all that long. Something else is going on. Is your device and iPhone? If so, it may be switching to the mobile network. |

Great bit if information. When you said "check for refresh" I thought you meant for the video buffer. Thanks. |

Re: Fios Mobile App offers some live TV away from home Seems to work nice under 3G for me (on low quality). I'm getting: 1 FIOS 1 107 BBC News 167 DIY 592 Tennis HD 664 Food Network HD 665 HGTV HD 670 Travel HD 689 BBC America HD 895 epix HD
***I would advise people with data plan limits to consider changing your settings in the video quality section to FULL on Wi-Fi but LOW on 3G/4G. |

Geographic size and customer count are 2 different things. Ny/nj has way more than LA which is prolly why they got local streaming first. |

I heard that one of the reasons Aereo hasn't come to the LA market was because of previous court cases lessened the chance of them providing local channels over the internet. I am wondering if that is the case here. |

I have been periodically checking my 2012 Samsung TV to see if it has updates with the new channels that are now in the newly updated FiOS app.
It has not been updated.
Does anyone know if or when there will be an update to the TV app , so we can have te same experience as on the Mobile app?
Thanks |

Anyone experience the pitch of sound change around 10 seconds after tuning into a channel? -- 75/35 Fios, Triple Play Extreme. |

Not here (Android version), and I've used it with HDMI out to a high-end sound system so I think I could tell if it was happening. |
