Of course your new plan deal(in contract or are you not in contract?) depends on being a stable Telus customer(not a carrier hopper). Along with whatever backdoor deal Apple has to hose people. Subsidized phones that require a certain minimum price paid per month as well. I think mine was minimum $50 a month, but thats with a data plan.
The new plans on most of the cell carriers suck shit even more since the two year contracts happened.

I'm curious why you never asked about all the details involved in the upgrade process. It was one of the first things I asked when I went into a Telus Mobility store and asked about upgrading. I was told I couldn't keep my current plan unless I bought the phone entirely. If I didn't, the cheapest would be $70. |
