September Legal Notices Thread

This is the thread I'll be posting the Legal Notices in this week.

A few notes as we wait for the first notice from Michigan on Thursday.

- G4 should be dropped completely sometime this morning. TWC in Dallas has already done so as warned in the last notice. Only BHN alerted customers to the Sept 23 date though.

The channel is supposedly ceasing operations October 10.

There was also the threat of Style being dropped but that was just because it's becoming Esquire today. Esquire was originally going to take G4's spot but that was scrapped.

- Were still waiting for HSN2 SD to launch on systems.

- On or after October 1, all outside The Panhandle will get Willow Cricket in SD and HD.

- On October 9, BHN is going to move FXX out of the SD and HD sports sections to areas that better reflect their content. EX: In Orlando, FXX moves from 1159 to 1287 although with G4 going by-by, I think 1284 would be more appropriate putting it right next to FX on 1283.

In this notice, I believe we could learn about more HD Starz/Encore/Plex or the new Viacom HD Channels (Nick Jr and Nick Toons)

G4 has not been pulled yet and while there has been no national announcement from G4, Cablevision and Verizon are dropping it too.

Word is it will be gone on Oct 10 entirely though.

I wont miss G4. It went down hill when G4 took over TechTV.

Apparently it is gone in Michigan now. It should not be much longer for when it's gone here too.

G4 is gone in Orlando too now.

It is indeed gone here too. That notice last month really told us something.

G4 is apparently shutting down on October 10.

When I get home, I will poor out a bit of my beer in memory of G4/Tech TV. It's kind of been circling the drain for a while now, but it was great once.

I'm looking forward to the willow cricket channel,, will that be available in Orlando too on Brighthouse and in what channel?

Yes and on Sports Pass Channel 206.

There will be an HD version too but it was accidently left off last month's notice. I expect it to be between 1165 and 1174.

On September 23, Style will rebrand as Esquire

Esquire SD Channel 124
Esquire HD Channel 324

On or after October 1, 2013

CBS Sports Network moves off Sports Pass to The Digital Tier

SD: Channel 557 to Channel 165
HD: Channel 657 to Channel 365

On or after November 1, the following channels will change locations and tiers

BTN Extra 02 from 157 to 94 and to Standard Tier
BTN Extra 03 from 158 to 95 to Standard Tier
CBS Sports Network SD/HD will no longer be available on 557 and 657 and will instead be available on the channel locations above.

Michigan does not get Spanish-Language Channels so we all might get these new Univision HD announced for tomorrow.

Next month or before the end of the year, the entire A and E Network suite will likely go on month to months but a deal should come together pretty quickly as there will likely be a drop dead.

It's disappointing that more HD Starz/Encore/Plex or the new Viacom HD's (Nick Jr, Nick Toons) were not in the notice but hopefully next month so the best HD lineup anywhere keeps improving.

Indiana and Orlando notices will likely be out tomorrow and I'll try to get Feb1003 from Bakersfield to post here.

Still could use people from Tampa Bay, Birmingham and The Panhandle to make this thread whole.

From time to time our agreements with cable channels and television stations come up for renewal. Orlando notice has nothing.

Just the Style to Esquire change that happened.

The Month to Month agreements did not change and also had G4 listed but this is a typo since it got pulled last week.

Here are the channels currently on MTM deals. Keep in mind, these can stay on the list for years and hardly ever get pulled.

Do you think willow tv will show up today on our schedules?

If everything goes right it should be up sometime today per the notice .

In the past, it would be up that day but they use that on or after to their advantage a bit.

I would say it will be up within a few days but Michigan and Indiana have gotten the last couple of updates ahead of Orlando so when it pops up there, we know it will be close.
