Re: Colin Farrell for Warcraft movie? with the possible exception of Elodie Yung and ray stevenson most of those are really well known.
Elodie Yung has been in a few movies but probably best know as the female red ninja chick with snakeeyes in GI Joe 2.

So I watched a youtube video that states the movie will be based on Orcs Vs Humans, Warcraft 1. So that limits the characters a bit, no adult Varian, Thrall, Cairne, etc. Looks like Colin Farrell is playing King Adamant, the human leader and I think Varian's dad (?). That does leave us poss Blackhand, Ner'zhul, Gul'dan and Grom on the Hordeside and Medivh, Khadgar, Anduin Lothar and Bronzebeards. |

Rome had some great actors in it, but with most being Brits they don't have as much name recognition here in the States. There are a few from that series I wouldn't mind seeing in a Warcraft movie. Ray Stevenson, Kevin McKidd, Polly Walker (Atia), and James Purefoy (Marc Antony) would be good choices.

For all of you thinking that the "big name" actors are needed. Take a read or listen to Kevin Smith's book Tough Sh*t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good. I listened to the Audible version, read by Kevin Smith. It gives a deep insight into the sausage factory that is movie making. All that money they spend on advertising a movie is to get the people who aren't going to see it for the director, actors, or story. The dedication alone is worth the price of admission.  . And his twitter rant about being taken off a Southwest flight is epic.
For those that don't know who Kevin Smith is, he plays Silent Bob and was the creator of Clerks and Mall Rats.
Personally, I'd rather see Blizzard do the whole thing like a cut scene or promo, at least I'd know it would be done right by people who actually care. I have no idea what it cost to produce something like the MoP trailer, or the time it would take. The real thing is, they are a little late to be trying to cash in on this, should have put it in the works when Lich King came out.

Don't get me wrong it had moments of genius, like the one you mentioned, but it just didn't do it for me the way the others did. Mallrats was always my fav growing up.
Have you seen Clerks 2? I thought it would be awful but I adore it. The whole Star Wars V Lord of the Rings scene, the donkey show and the beginning bit about going a2m have me in stiches everytime. |

Definitely watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. BA is in it, but very very briefly. Maybe like 5 minutes? And it's one of the funnier movies out there. |

I can see how others might perceive her as hot but I'd pass.
I'd be more interested in say Kira knightly, or Anne Hathaway. Kristin Steward would in my book beat the girl you linked. (It'd be interesting to see if I could get some emotion out of her.)
