Hardware for use with Suddenlink service.

Hi,

I have been on AT&T for ages but will now move to a 50 Mbps Suddenlink connection. I have an Arris WBM750A I got from a neighbor who recently moved, so I was planning on using that. What I want is to be using my ASUS router behind the modem for networking, wireless and firewall purposes. Will the Arris let me set it up that way? I do not want the modem to do anything but passing the signal through to my router and hope the Arris will do that and nothing else. Any advice appreciated.

Assuming I looked up the right modem, yes adding a router will work like you want it to. Cable to Arris, then Arris to Asus Router. Unless I misunderstood what you wanted...

No, you didn't misunderstand. What I was worried about was that the Arris wouldn't be suitable for having a router behind it running the network, but it seems like it does. Thanks!
