Re: Can I stop apps from opening other apps?

Well, looking at softpedia, I see:

quote:
Optionally supports viewing/saving attachments and HTML through external applications.

If the email came up in an external browser, it is possible that javascript was enabled. If the IE engine is being used, and it is not assigned the "restricted" zone when viewing the email, javascript could have been executed.
I use Outlook Express, and I actually like html email for the readability and formatting, but I have it configured for the restricted zone, and no javascript or active x runs.

If javascript was enabled, the "onunload" event could have triggered some javascript when the email was closed. That's the easy way. If somehow, an email can be configured to run something once is closes without javascript, it would be very interesting to learn how that is done.

I'm not running version 1.99.3. I'm running version 1.95. Which does support some html and script though. IE was not the browser that opened. FireFox was the browser that opened.

As I said, the browser opened to a site but it was a blank page because I use NoScript.
