[Outages] Outage Report -- September 23rd, 2013 2:05PM

We are experiencing the following Cable issues:

« RF (Signal) issue on Comstock POI (Toronto)
« DHCP (No IP) issue on Salem POI (Ajax)
There is also a potential RF (Signal) issue developing in Guelph.

Tektalk issues resolved.

There may also be some service interruptions for DSL customers in

« Montreal

Maintenance performed on the DSL network may require some customers to power cycle their equipment. Please disconnect the power cord and phone cord from your modem for a minimum of 5 minutes before reconnecting.

We appreciate your patience as we work towards a resolution for these issues.

This is getting ridiculous and it upsets me seeing this happen to Teksavvy again and again. Now Rogers and Bell are messing up your TekTalk service. Bhell and Robbers, it's amazing the depths they will sink so. Guy's blame Bhell and Robbers, not Teksavvy please as it's obviously them doing this in my opinion.

If it's RF, yes. If it's DHCP, probably not.

My TekTalk phone is not working from last 1 hr or so...I saw the outage notification above. Do we any ETA at this point?

South of Ottawa here, and DSL service seems to be going down every few minutes. Went down in the early hours at about 3am, but it was up this morning.

The TekTalk problems won't be from Bell or Rogers.

(No need to read my rant, it's just me complaining to the Internets and it feels good.)

Are they having the issue where you get TekTalk and it takes them a month and 8 hours on the phone to get it working except only half the time? And then the internet goes up and down and they keep blaming Rogers every time? And then you call to report an issue and you want an hour on the phone to talk to someone you can't even understand and doesn't even try to sound sorry that it's not working?

I can do nothing, or do something and feel like I'm trying to make my situation better.

I don't think the issue with TekTalk is completely resolved. My ATA is constantly alternating like a yo-yo between being registered, and failing to register, at the moment.

I may be speaking too soon, but it just seems to have stopped. The ATA is remaining registered, now. I'll be keeping an eye on it, though. It was alternating between registered for a few minutes, then going into a registration failed state, for at least half an hour this afternoon.

Pretty sure I'm on the Dupont poi and I currently have no internet. Also my connection has been very unstable for about a week now.

my internet is also down

modem shows no sync, all channels are 0.0MHz

ps getting here and typing this on a "dumb" phone sucks

EDIT:
Well not sure what the problem was but everything is working again.
Went out at 12:11am was still out at 3am, was running normal at 7am. (no clue when it came back)

EDIT 2:
Looks like the down time was to increase the upload from 2Mb/s to 4Mb/s

I waited twelve days to get my speed upgraded. I didn't make a thread to rant about it.
