 | [DSL] Activation but no DSL Just wondering if Nick or someone else can take a look for me. My activation was yesterday but there is no service (Verizon area):
1) Phone lines work - I plug in a corded phone and get a busy signal (i have dry loop) 2) Modem is 6100F, pre-configured for Verizon when I had their service. I still have it in bridge mode so the router can log in with credentials. 3) Linksys 54GL (Tomato) & DLink 601 (DDWRT) both cannot login using PPPoE. Using the user name and password as instructed on my account page.
When I disconnect the routers and connect to modem, it tells me no DSL is available. I will message you my info if you need it, name on account is same as here. Thanks. |

Just a quick followup. We've had the service for a week and are enjoying it. We got the basic package which is 1Mb/384Kb and my speedtests bear this out. This is all we needed for basic internet (voip phone and home alarm) since if we need to stream video or otherwise download large files we have a pair of wireless 4g hotspots with unlimited data.
Question: anyone know what the rates go to after the year promo? I can find no info except that you will be notified and given the opportunity to sign a new 1 year contract, just wondering how much the price jumps. Our promo is $14.95/mo, trying to keep basic home internet under $20, permanently. |

Fair warning - price rates CAN change, so we technically can't *promise* that the price will still be $19.95 next year... but price rate changes don't happen very often, and your current $14.95 price rate is locked in for this year at least (so even if the price goes up in your area, you still get $14.95 for the full year). |

 | Ok, that sounds fair. Since we have the 4g (typically 10 - 25Mb+ depending on time of day) this tier of DSL fits our needs perfectly. Thanks for taking the time to research that for us. |
