Not getting the promotion I was told...

Last july I was told I would have a price for all my bell services (phone, internet, tv).
Now I called today because I noticed that I was paying more than what I was told I would pay.

I gave them the confirmation # of the promotion and the date which I got it. After they give me their bs, bottom line, they say there is nothing they can do, saying "I don't know how that agent gave you that price, it's not what i'm seeing here blah blah blah" (i'm speaking witht he loyalty department here by the way).
I know there has been an augmentation of 1$ or something on a service but still, even with that i'm paying more than what I'm supposed to.

So what gives, what can I do, i'm already on the highest department to complain am I not ? They give you promotions and they don't even respect them, so again, what can I do now ?
thx.

Welcome to the joys of dealing with Bell?
In all seriousness wait 48 hours and call back.

What were you promised and what are you paying? Also what services (xpress vu vs. Fibe tv, 5/1 internet vs 15/10 etc.) Also did you ever get the price you were promised? Was it a promo for a couple months or an ongoing promo?

I had a first promo who lasted 6 months, than in july they called me to offer me a new promo (because the first one was about to exprire) for 12 months effective after the first promo ends.
I have phone, fibe 15/10 and fibe tv. Until this time I always paid what I was told.

And it's for promotions, not discount, which is baically the same thing but not quite.

When I called to upgrade my iPhone 4 to the Xperia Z, I wanted the 55 V&D plan. I got it. I asked the girl if I would have any fees or anything, she said NO, no fee sir. I said any activation fees or chaning phone fees ? No fee sir. Are you sure ? Yes sir.

Got my first bill with my new phone 1 week ago, hey look, got 35$ fees for upgrading phone (not activation fees). I call, no sorry sir no trace of that in your file, you have to pay the fees. Let me tell you, I told them to go listen to the conversation they gently record, I told them 50 times that the girl did a mistake. Had to call 3 times but I finally got my 35$ off but in the end I lost more time/money then I won with this. I got lucky to get that I think. I talked with a supervisor. Maybe you can do the same.

Yeah but thats the thing. Who can I ask to talk when i'm already with the loyalty department ? I don't don't to escalade this, but is this a boss of the boss know what I mean ? Is there a supervisor for the loyalty department ???

When you call, select the option to cancel. You'll get to the loyalty departement. Ask a supervisor.

So there are supervisors in the loyalty department. When I called she wouldn't pass me on to one...

Hmm... Call again, ask again for the promotion and if they do not want to give it to you, say you want to leave. Be ferm.

Welcome to Bhell. Years ago my ADSL (the very first version: 2.1 down/1.1 up, pre sympatico high speed) died and they and wouldn't fix it. Well, the modem had sync but there was no connectivity to the net. I spent a month of Bell Hell talking to useless "support" people in India trying to get it fixed. It was clear that rudely and abruptly disconnecting active service was their way of removing long-time customers off their older but still functional equipment. I had paid them about $8,000 in Internet fees up to that point!

So I cancelled my phone and all my services. As Bhell terminated my phone account, they charged me a $5 fee for changing my service - ending my touchtone service(!) which of course ended because they were *cancelling my phone service*.

Then Bell would not refund my $5 because they said I did not have an account with them! Blatant theft. I wonder how many former customers they stole from with that scam? I read that tens of thousands were leaving them at the time... multiply that by a $5 theft from each customer...

As others have reported and will report again and again, you will get ripped off if you continue to deal with Bhell. Deal with an independent business like Teksavvy or Start. While Teksavvy has it's problems, the senior people, including the CEO are active and accessible in their DSLReports forum.

You can speak most powerfully with your wallet. Leave as soon as practical and never, ever look back.

It's a miserable experience. Good luck in your journey.
