Bell Calling to Try To Get Me Back - FOX

Moved to voip.ms. It's nice having a phone bill 95% less than what Bell charged me for POTS. I have cell with another carrier and a UPS on my ATA/router so I am not too worried about being able to communicate. Well, it seems they can't stop trying to get me back with scare tactics. I am very tempted to use the FOX-40 solution next time they call (got the idea from 800notes.com). Hey, I thought it was a harassing obscene phone call officer. . . :P

Mike it is good to hear that you are happy with your current situation...proves there is "relative" competition for services in Canada. Don't "sell yourself short" as I was over helping a friend with a computer last night and he was very happy with his Bell FibeTV service and couldn't say enough about it...I didn't even ask as he knew where I worked. He only stated that he hates talking on the phone to them and I offered a solution to that: "ask to speak to someone in Canada" and he was happy with that. I am always keeping an ear out to what Rogers is doing these days and if they ever get that much better I might check them out. That is what competition is all about.

But Glen1 Going to Rogers is not really what competition is all about. In fact going to any alternate ISP is not what competition is all about ... but certainly going to Rogers isn't. It just prolongs the oligopolistic attitudes of the big guys.
