Yes, we have a very old docsis 1 modem (motorola sb4200), but why am I getting this warning? It's annoying. What is the significance of the Oct 31 date? Why would my old modem not continue to work after that date?

hawkeye_wx, we are trying to steer people away from the DOCSIS 1.0 modems as they are being/have been phased out. I see that you are currently provisioned for our Prime service. You may have a better experience by upgrading your modem. Doing this, will also prepare you for any possible upgrades we perform to our network in the future.
