[iO] Channel guide frozen on all tv's.

Just started happening today, and people are reporting on twitter also. When I hit the guide button the channel guide will come up but that's it. Remote becomes unresponsive and channel guide stays on screen forever. Cannot hit exit, cannot change channel. I can only turn box off and on which brings back the guide frozen again. Only workaround is to unplug cable box and reboot. Then NOT use the guide, because if you do it gets frozen again.

After rebooting the box, go to the settings menu. Guide options - if it is set to "subscribed channels" change it to "all channels". It is a software bug that I had last week. Happened on all boxes, to the point that cv swapped them out. Problem came back after I changed the default setting from "all channels" to "subscribed channels" on settings menu. Hope this helps.

Wow! Thank you! Thank you! That worked. I assume optimum knows about this bug? I just spent 30 minutes on live chat talking to a clueless representative.

I spoke to one of their senior techs last week regarding both the issue and the fix. Very surprised they have not fixed it yet, as it was caused by an update rolled out around the same time (according to them).

Happened on my samsung but not SA box

Problem just happened with my Samsung box. Good thing I remembered seeing this thread . I'll give the solution a try.
