Boston, MA | [Speed] What should be 50mbps is less than 3...Boston,MA Hi, I just switched over to RCN today actually. When I did a speedtest right after the tech came and set everything up, it was close to 30 mbps when I should be getting 50. I figured this was okay since the Comcast that I'm cancelling was running at 17.
At one point tonight it was at 0.22 mbps on speedtest.net, and later it sped up a bit to 2.86mbps via rcn's speedtest, while Comcast is running 20+. Is there a reason for such a low speed when I'm paying for 50mbps? Maybe I should just switch back to Comcast?

Both routers are docsis 3 as well.
We were getting similarly slow speeds with Comcast for a few days, which is why I switched over to RCN. But it seems like the same problem persists... Any help would be appreciated! |
