| My neighbor had Dishnet installed This morning, I heard some drill whirring and hammering. I look outside and I see two installers installing satellite at my neighbor's house. I was like "cool... More dish/directv users lol." After they are done. I look at the house again and I just saw DishNet satellite among Dish TV satellite. Right now Im kinda pissed off. Why Dish would install DishNet while we have cable and Uverse. Im thinking about talking to my neighbor tomorrow morning and maybe encourage them take DishNet off and switch to TWC/Att Uverse for internet. There is any chance they can get away from ETF? -- Curious about Sprint improved 3G and growing 4G LTE network? Then check it out at www.s4gru.com

dragonman300,
I do not know Dishnet policies, but I know with the services we offer are a 24mth start off contract. Your neighbors will most certainly want to check into that before they consider disconnecting services. I understand if you have cable and other options in your area why you may feel the way you do, but satellite internet is a great option for consumers even in town depending on their internet needs. To each their own! Cheers! |

 | Dishnet is basically WildBlue/Excede. Same everything but with crapper prices. And yes to each of their own- but Sat is not great on price when you have xDSL or cable starting at lower prices than sat. |

Actually, DishNet can be one of two services, depending on where you live...Exede is one, HughesNet is the other...
Areas where both ViaSat-1 and Hughes' Gen4 satellites have beams can be either one, unless the customer insists on one or the other.
A potential customer would be wise to research first what is available (assuming satellite and dial-up are the only choices) in their zip code..
If Exede12 is available they would be much wiser to contract directly with Wildblue/Exede. Look here, enter zip code and see if you live in an area with a ViaSat-1 spot-beam..

What concern is it of yours what service someone subscribes to on their own property? Why would it piss you off? -- 4/17/13 - A Beautiful Day For Freedom, Thank You United States Senate! Message to Anti-Gun Liberals: HA HA! Hussein Obama 0, American Public 1 Repeal Obamacare Now!
