I think that is the "big bad". Recall that there was another group hunting for the machine. When they found the location, it was an empty warehouse. Now that HR story line is dead, they maybe able to focus on that. Plus, what ever happened to the goon squad that was hunting Reese? Why aren't they still hunting him. I understand people think Shaw is dead, but she still might have someone looking for her as well.
Yep. And recall Root mentioned that there were other people like John that Harold had used in the past, and lost. So we know that John can be killed off in the future, and replaced. Or they could flashback to the other "strong arms" that worked for Harold.
So my Wife and I were walking home on Columbus Ave not too long ago, after watching "Catching Fire" in the theater (iMax 3D) and who should we see,....?
Michael Emerson (Harold Finch),....
I know not that big of a deal but I thought it was interesting,....
I have to admit, that I began to suspect that the wife was a "bad guy" once the gunmen came after them in the hospital. She played it waaaay too cool. However, I did expect that she was the head honcho!
I think is the first time they mentioned it as being possible. They may have "touched" on it, but only as rumors. Though it does stand to reason. That you'd have multiple machines crunching the raw data, then passing the "filter" data to the machine for final "judgment". Or taking it a step further, the other machines crunch the raw data, then make a "call". Can they order a "hit" on the data or should it be sent upstream for review? Thereby freeing the main machine to focus on serious targets, while the lower machines handle the lesser threats.
It went from "deactivated"/grayed out to "unknown" / blinking red. And the more I think about it, I'm sure that the idea of more than one machine was mentioned previously -- like ZZZZZZZ mentioned.
I dunno who to root for. The Big bad "spy on everyone" government. Funny how life imitates art.
The group that wants to expose the government violation of our rights.
The old guy, who wants the machine for his purposes.
Root, who seems to worship the machine as if it's god.
Or Harold's group. Of course, Harold's group, but I'm kinda hoping the guys that want to bust the government also wins.
I had a thought during Harold's and the guy from Warehouse 13's conversation. Isn't it interesting that man kind seems to want to build things that can end it's existence?
The Machine isn't named "Northern Lights", that's just a code name the gov't uses for it, similar to how they call whatshisname "Clockwork" on Intelligence.
