Re: [HD] Free preview of NHL Center Ice I went through this a few years ago, and was ticked as I watched the AVS in Philly, and most always was in SD, and sometimes only the jumbotron feed. All those HD slots and channel assignments, and it advertises UP TO 7 games a week in HD. Every game is broadcast in HD, so you would think there would be a few different games a night in HD, not just H/A feed of same game.
I am trying GameCenter this year. its less out of pocket and portable. Checked it on PS3 and apple tv, as well as work pc. In comparision to SD Center Ice...its no contest. Gamecenter is a better feed. I dont care if its a minute or two behind, if at all. Its live to me. ... |

I do find it interesting that they only make available the SD channels for these (MLB, NHL, NBA) free previews but when the free previews are available for the premium channels, they make them all available. If it was as someone suggested MPEG-4 related due to limitations of boxes, some of the premium channels are MPEG-4, so the practice isn't consistent. |
