I have a 52 inch Samsung TV. It is about 5-6 years old. In the last 4-6 months it started randomly losing sound and picture at the same time. The black outs last anywhere from a few seconds to almost a whole minute. At first I thought it was my cable box, but I had a recent issue with that and they gave me a new one but the issue persists. I next thought the issue was with my HDMI port, so I switched it over to the one I use for my Blu-Ray. Everything seemed fine at first but my family started complaining it was doing it again.
I hardly ever experience it since I barely watch TV. I don't have my exactly model number at this time. I have not noticed the blacking out on anything but the Cable box, but we don't use the other devices much at all. I can say though that since the problem started, I never saw the problem or had the kids complain of the problem from the WII.
Is it possible the HDMI cable is bad? I would think not since when I switch the ports, I switch the cable with the one I was using for my Blu-Ray.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. TYIA. -- Um, maybe later? |
