Same servers updated platform and new testing method much less influenced by user configuration, operating system, installed software etc. It uses the same transport layer testing method used by another test platform you guys know I'm very fond of and use behind the scenes to help you folks with service issues -- ~All truth goes through three phases. Not sure why my download on the Bakersfield server is slower then when running a test on the Los Angeles Server. the Old »speedtest.bhn.net/ was usually faster than the other speed test sites.

LOL. I denied internet access to my stepson's PC in my router config, then told him the internet was out while I was doing my testing. -- So put me on a highway, and show me a sign. And take it to the limit one more time... |

Well this new speedtest is becoming mostly useless since it almost always wants to test to Atlanta when I'm in Orlando and the tests to Atlanta always start for a few seconds fine and then the speed tanks to less than half. |

Something else is going on then I will recheck your modem. The Atlanta test should be just fine. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as self-evident. - Arthur Schopenhauer ~

| reply to kmdean Atlanta seems fine to me.. The jumpiness is likely due to me being on WIFI. |

kmdean join:2012-06-22 Orlando, FL | Mine still acts like it gets throttled after a few seconds. The few times I can test to orlando are fine and speedtest.net is fine. |

With speedtest.net I don't see a BHN option for Atlanta, but Comcast tests fine.

They are located in the same DC so there should be no difference. Take the Dlink router off, reboot and run several tests and average them (to our test). I will send you a link that I want you to keep running for 36 hours via your direct post after a bit. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Looks good Gary. However, there still is a difference in the PING times it seems. I've run a few, and some are off more than 2MS that I show here. I've seen differences of 1MS up to 10MS??? -- Irv Spalten |
