[Networking] Re: Should I switch to 75/35 Internet?

said by nycdave:

The JI2 only supports 2 POTS lines. You are looking at the IDC connections for each line - 4 per line.

Gotcha. Makes sense. I logged into my account and I see speed upgrades to EVERY freaking plan up to 500/100 except 75/35

No love!

IMO, Verizon should offer the 75mbit as a free upgrade for those who signed up for the 2-year deals, afterall they are getting $20 more per month the second year.

In a way they do. To upgrade from 50/25 to 75/35 is offset by their offer to give me a $10/mo credit for signing a new 2 yr contract. (I've been out of contract for a few years).

They must be losing enough customers that they want to lock us in for 2 years, no?

Here's the details, you get a 1 month free upgrade to 73/35 internet with a $10 credit. The following month it's $10 more a month for 73/35 internet.

I've tried that online and get the msg: " We're sorry.
We are experiencing a temporary problem and can't continue your order at this time.
Please try again later." I get that message every time I try to do something on that site

The upgrade can also be done on ch 500 , however , I don't know if the $10 discount is offered that way. Anyone know?

Edit : appears to be a moot point, as the speed is not available in my area, per a phone csr, VO5. The op is in my same town, so it looks like he's outta luck as well.
