[X1] X1 DVR is not saving Recordings

I recoreded several movies, but nothing is listed after the movie is over. its not saving the recordings.

Have you reset the box? I know if i don't see it and do a reset it will show back up !

Yes I've done that, also waiting until a scheduled recording that's in progress completes, then the recorded program shows up. You can also try X2 (type 9292 on remote). Haven't had any dropped recordings yet since switching over.

what I typed above somehow didn't all come across: to swith to X2 it's Exit Exit 9292 on the remote

i haven't reset,, by reset do you mean unplugging the power and plugging back in?

still not able to record, even after speaking to an agent. the agent sent a signal to my box to do a warm reset, (thats what she called it). but nothing happen. the signal never reset my box. so far i have learned about comcast is its a troubled service,

I had uverese (recently last month) and directv (this year) they both worked flawlessly after install.

i can record now.. i went to settings then prefernce and changed my default dvr.

It's a known issue, sometimes it says it's recording even though it isn't. Sometimes after you've deleted watched shows....."twice" they show back up in the saved folder. Sometimes the red light stays on long after your recordings have finished. Sometimes your recordings show up in the saved folder 24 hours later.

Why not just give up on X1 and go back to iGuide? It may not look pretty, but at least it works!
