Re: [Outages] Outage Report Cable/DSL 09/27 **updated** 6:07pm K1T still down here.
Modem (DCM476) lights are Power = Green; DS/US/Online/Link = Blue
I can log in to the modem page as it is booting up, highest level it reaches is Registration and then I can no longer access the page. From what others have posted, I'm guessing this confirms a DHCP issue.
Cross posting to direct forum so Tek has a record. |

Does anyone know how long it will be out for! I live in markham and I need the Internet to do my papers.
If I change providers, how long does the change take since in already using a Rogers line? |

Rogers might be node splitting with all the development around. Doesn't help that bell didn't run any lines so everyone is on cable. |

When service is restored, is it necessary to reboot modem/do anything else or should webpages etc just start loading again? |

That's right, Bell choose not to provide their infrastructure in some newer developments. Bell phone and internet are not options. |

im really surprised at that. inhouse your area is referred to by bell as greenfeilds... and they wire up the area ftth, ftth serves two purposes over copper, it has the bandwidth for the fibetv they are pushing (you ll know what i mean if your in ottawa) the bandwidth ftth is nuts the qualifing tool actually shows ftth with a 700/700 profile ! also it shuts out tpia i dont think they have access to the ftth, fttn yes but not ftth.
once again im really surprised bell didnt wire up your area while they built those homes |

Is nobody working on weekends? I've had more downtime with TSI in the past couple months than I had with Bell in the past couple decades.
I consider 10min holds to be bad customer service. Nearly an hour? What a joke. |

I'll see about getting you some help. But to answer your question, I hate to point out the obvious... The first post with all the outages is why. -- Marc - CEO/TekSavvy |

From the DCM modem firmware bs I got from the TekSavvy tech support guy to the 1.5 days down and counting situation. And me needing the connection for work. It will not be long before I have to cancel TekSavvy and pay one of the robber barons again.
Just so TSI understands, this outage being more then a day is no small potato. |
