said by Turbo Mach 5:Yah we do have analog chans up to 64...signal on some of them: terrible lol (as I watch my father's TV in the nursing home). Maybe so or maybe it's just equipment being shuffled. But hey, I'll be optimistic
And...is 550mhz determined by adding the ranges up from each chan (4 d / 1 u)? Just trying to learn a little more about what's set up here.
no what are the downstream frequencies for internet? I can say the system is 550MHz by using google maps and looking at the line equipment and it is not the 450MHz gear that you see in a lot of older systems which Scientific Atlanta had a lot deployments throughout the country in the late 80s-early 90s with. The equipment there is more like the SA system II gear that went out to 750MHz but is a step in between that and the 450MHz gear.
here where I am at all the gear is either Motorola or Aurora networks and it is a mix of 870MHz and 1GHz gear. System was rebuilt from 550MHz to 750MHz around 2000 and to 860MHz from 750MHz in 2008.
here is my internet channels:

some areas of my system have:
19MHz
23.8MHz
30.6MHz
37MHz
for upstreams bonding and I am leaning towards that Time Warner Cable is slowly migrating to the second set of upstream frequencies and with that change they are moving towards:
3 6.4MHz carriers and 1 3.2MHz carrier for internet on the upstream right I am on 4 3.2MHz upstreams.
Hmm Paris TX is 550MHz and they have over 100 HD, VOD, DOCSIS 3.0 and digital phone. so maybe eventually you will get HD? I know that Eastland TX another former classic cable area has about 50 HD channels and they are only 450MHz.
