[Content] Comcast forced to move Bloomberg TVquote: FCC Tells Comcast To Put Bloomberg With The Rest Of The News Stations
» consumerist.com/2013/09/ ··· tations/For reference, by me (NW Chicago Suburbs): 40/216=CNN 41=CLTV (local Chicago news) 45/318=HLN 63/266=CNBC 64/317=MSNBC 66/265=Fox News 103=RT (technically, it's a Comcast Leased channel, with horrible A/V sync.) 106/264=Fox Business 107=Al-Jazeera America 128=Bloomberg 154=BBC World News One reason Bloomberg is on a higher number (at least for SD), is that it was never in analog. It was always digital-only. Edited to add topic group category. Sunny |

Then CSPN2 and CSPN3,Fox Business Channel,CNBC World,Al Jerreza SD need to be moved out of Digital Tier and them move to the 40's where other SD News Channels are and add ABC new one and so on. |

It was odd here in the Danbury, Ridgefield, Bethel franchise area earlier this year regarding Bloomberg.
Comcast released a channel line-up guide showing that Comcast was adding Bloomberg HD.
But it never seemed to materialize.
I wonder if the angst of this disagreement caused Comcast to drop their plans to carry Bloomberg TV in HD (with Comcast acting like a spoiled 2 year old who doesn't get his way...) After the recent comments of Mr. Roberts, it wouldn't surprise me. |

As of yesterday, Bloomberg TV (ch 128) has been dropped from my Comcast feed. Not sure if that's because they are moving it or because that's their response to the Bloomberg suit and the FCC. I suspect the latter. |
|
|
Are you sure it didn't move? Here in the Chicago area, it moved to channel 102. The shopping channel that was there moved to 111. |

You're right. Thanks!
(This doesn't seem to comply with the FCC mandate though. The SD news channels here run from 54-59).
Oh well. |
|
|
It is amongst some of the Comcast access channels and CSPAN, so I guess it may still be considered OK. |

I was ready to tell comcast to (You What) no mention in comcast tv listing that it move and it still has it as ch 128...even Google has nothing about the move...Google is getting bad as comcast it's albout Ads,Ads,...like today i needed a part for a microwave after couple hrs i gave up...instead i found it on ebay...andyross...Thanks for the info. |

Check your FULL bill within the past month or so. That is where I found out about it, and noted it on a list of channels I keep. |

Heavy re-arrangement of channels can lead to a customer revolt. I think Comcast would just rather leave the sub-100's alone. Even the scanty information about a so-called 'national' channel lineup only use channels 100+, leaving the lower numbers to be regional.
At least here in the Chicago area, the 100+'s are generally the same everywhere. |

Mine is also automatic, but I always check the bill for changes. |

I don't have Comcast anymore because not in Overland Park,ks but I can tell you that Bloomberg is up the other CSPN's/ESPNNEWS in Olathe/Independence. The Star will post Public Notices about TWCKC but not Comcast and can only guess that Mundofox 62.2.E. Rey will be added. Soapnet and GNTV will be gone. |
