| [DIRECTV] TiVo THR22 I was thinking of swapping the the C31 for a HD receiver but I'm thinking of replacing the C31 with a THR22 TiVo instead. I have a TiVo on that TV with my basic cable subscription and I don't watch the programs that Grandma and Mom record on the Genie. I want to have my own recording space for my stuff without taking theirs.
Question, can the TiVo be controlled from smartphones, will it work with the existing CCK/DECA, and the SWM.
The SWM is in the dish so I couldn't run a separate drop.
I have use 5 out of 8 available slots on my SWM 8.

I've experienced ImOn (when they were McLeod USA), Mediacom, Comcast, and Time Warner and I currently have DirecTV. They are much better than broadcast TV.
I have not and will not cut the cord. |

The TiVo on DirecTV is pretty much a dead platform and if you want to be stuck with a lame duck so be it, I wouldn't in a million years downgrade to a TiVo from an HR34 or 44. How much do recordings of Cops and your local news actually take up that you want to keep them separate? I have the entire series of Game of Thrones on my HR34 and that still leaves me with 92% free space.

5 out of 8 slots on swm means nothing Swm 8 is the max number of tuners you can run on one down lead from a swm LNB.
HD/SD receiver = 1 tuner
HDDVR / SDDVR =2 Tuners
Genie =5 tuners
a c31 takes a tuner away from the genie when watching live tv.
so if you can add a HDDVR and you will be good to go (based on your current Receiver -if you need more tunners you can upgrade to a swm 16 |
