 | [Speed Issues] Upload Issuses in Opelousas, LA Modem Signals |
Ever since the beginning of September, I've been having upload problems. My connection never drops. My download speed is always fine. Pings are always fine. It's just my upload ceases to exist randomly throughout the night. Had a tech over about two weeks ago. Fixed some stuff and it worked fine up until the past few days. The problem has returned. I had to try a few times to upload that attachment. I'd post tests, but upload doesn't complete.
I can't give logs due the modem I'm using now which seems to only show the signal page. Oddly enough, I bought a SB6141 to replace the SB5101 we had which did work (I was able to set it up myself using charter's install page), but when the tech came over and saw it he said "Charter doesn't support customer owned modems." He took it off and replaced it with the current modem, a DCP3008. I still have the SB6141, it's just not being used. When the SB6141 was in use, I did get many T3 errors during the times my upload was screwy. |

| Can you provide the upstream SNR value? Also, in case you aren't already aware, these values you're seeing are only a snap shot of the current status. You should also try to get the values when the problem is happening. -- Stupid people shouldn't be allowed to breathe |

Hey, Opelousas! My old home
I never had a problem with Charter there.
I ran the 30/4 and 100/5 plans up until I moved in June of 2013.
You CAN use your own modem...
It just takes the right person to provision it...
Or you can do it online.
About your problem:
What are you doing that you notice the upload disappearing?
Is this happening on other machines? |

Keep in mind that the upstream SNR reading can't be determined at the user's end. A call to support would be necessary. |

That was during the problem. I'm having the problem now as of posting this message, so there's another attachment.

Uploading anything in general. To youtube and streaming to twitch.
Yes this happens across all devices. In case I'm asked, this happens when the computer is connected directly to the modem as well because I just tried that. |
