When will Cogeco offer faster than 60 Mbps?

I posted a similar question in the Start forum as I am a customer thru them, but when would Cogeco have speeds faster than 60 mbps down to offer for Residential accounts? Seems alot of other cablecos in Canada have access to these speeds, but why not Cogeco for their residential customers?

My street has always gotten the fastest offerings from Cogeco, never any issues. google seems to turn up nothing on why Cogeco seems to be behind on those fast connection offerings that Rogers now has.

They're now running eight forward channels in a bunch of their nodes so the capacity is there to do it. Just like how faster upload speeds came when they started bonding return channels, I suspect faster download speeds are only a matter of time, too.

I'll just be glad when we can get faster than 14Mbps in our area via Cogeco's infrastructure especially when the only other offer is DSL at up to 6. Oh well should be thankful I suppose lots of my family can still only get 1.5 if any at all, yay for rural living, although some of the trade offs are almost worth it.

I would personally prefer faster uploads (even exchanging some of my 60mbps to do so).

Out of curiosity, what would be a use case for faster than 60?

You're not going to see anything more than 10-15 on the upload side for a while yet, and probably never anything symmetrical.

I'm actually hoping Cogeco offers something similar to Bell in the future, with regards to the bandwidth cap.
Not sure if Bell still offers it, but it use to be something like $5 extra a month for an extra 20GB.
I see they now offer unlimited internet for $30/month (or $10 w/ 3 services).

Since I'm slowly dumping cable TV (using mostly Roku and just went with the most basic of TV packs), I may have to end up going to Ultimate 60, mainly for the increase in the cap. Not sure how much the extra 30Mbps will make for streaming.
