 | [DVR] Still having DVR/Guide issues really had it with the new guide at this point. Episodes that are not new are labeled new and recording and ones labeled new don't record. Resetting the series recroding doesn't fix it, and setting it to record first run and repeats still doesn't fix it. Disaster. |

 | I can give a specific example. The Big Bang Theory had back to back new episodes for the season premiere. The first episode was set to record via the season pass but I had to set the second episode to record myself because it wasn't listed in the scheduled recordings nor was there a season pass checkmark in the guide listing. One other thing I noticed. An episode of Masters of Sex on Showtime has a recording checkmark in the guide listing, yet I never set a recording for it nor is it listed in my scheduled recordings. |

Is the record time set to any time or to the specific time the program usually airs.
I have set mine to HD, first run only, any time, no duplicates and even series recordings I set up quite a while ago kicked in when the new season started and some programming moved to a different time slot.
I did have a problem with one or two shows when they switched guide providers but that was only out of about 15 that I'd originally set up. -- Never raise your hands to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected. -- Red Buttons |

Big Bang was fine here, but 2 NBC shows didn't set, and they were first run. Revolution and Parenthood. Had to delete the SP and set it again for them to take. |

I had the same problem with Parenthood. Big Bang worked fine for me too. |

 | Ultimate spiderman. Today was supposed to be the first new episode in 2 months. last night when we went to bed we double checked and it was on the scheduled recordings
Got home today, didn't record. Nothing else was scheduled that would have conflicted with it. Series is set to "first run only" but it's recording EVERY episode that Disney XD airs. Tried deleted the season pass and re scheduling it nothing. Only solution i guess is manual and hope I can keep up with when they air. Son is 10 has autism it's his favorite show. Let's just say he slightly (understatement) freaked out when he got home today and it didn't record. |

I have Ultimate Spider Man set this way and it records the "New" episodes:
DXD HD 781
First Run
HD
All Channels
Duplicates: No
The next "New" episode is 10/5 at 9 pm on Disney HD channel 780 and it is marked to record.
I'd redo the Series and make sure Ultimate Spider Man is 1 or 2 in your priority.
I would keep an eye on all Series Recordings as with the new guide provider there may be some issues with old Series Recordings.

 | The problem I'm seeing with the new guide is that they occasionally modify the titles of certain series, which, consequently, causes the series recording to not record. For example, I record the series "Catfish: The TV Show", but tonight the new episode is for some reason is entitled "Catfish: Mentiras en la Red". Say what???? Consequently, it wouldn't have recorded, if I hadn't noticed.
I've occasionally had the same issue with some other series recordings as well. They really need to be more consistent on the naming of series... it's not rocket science. |
