Wow, striking differences there! How about also posting what hardware you're using? As a prospective Millenicom customer, I am most interested in seeing how the 4620 is doing.

That's very impressive Jim.

Amazon

Novatel MiFi 4620L Jetpack 4G Mobile Hotspot (Verizon Wireless)
by Verizon
2.8 out of 5 stars See all reviews (35 customer reviews)

Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Strange it doesn't have very good reviews. 2.8 out of 5 stars?

I'm still debating upgrading Faye's Verizon 3G.

Any equipment experiences that. However I do see one big negative. A battery. It is strange that with today's technology a battery is required for operation in a house or business. We all know the reliability of any battery dependent equipment. Cell phones and wireless home phones are prime examples.

Thanks Jim, that is terrific news. On the battery question, can't the 4620L be plugged into its charger all the time? Or is it necessary to periodically unplug it?

I started with the 4620L and started having more and more disconnection problems so I bought a Pantech UML290 and swapped the sim. Both had great speeds around 20 Mb/s down and the connection was stable with the pantech.

However today it suddenly seems i can't get past a 5 Mb/s download speed on either device. Hopefully just a glitch.
