Re: Tyler, Tx Changes hmm I believe in parts of North East Texas 573MHz and 579MHz are used for VOD and 585MHz along with 549MHz are used for HD locals at least in Sulphur Springs TX they have I think 14 of the 15 locals in HD there so they have a lot of QAMs dedicated to locals in HD and not to mention suddenlink has to over pack some of them with having 3 HD and a few SD OTA subchannels on the same QAM. I wish sulphur Springs would move a few of the locals to digital only to free up room for more DOCSIS carriers or just go all digital so the Tyler area could add more HD as they are a part of the hold up to do so. said by jkaufman:Here is what my modem says
Downstream 1 52 567.00 MHz -5.43 dBmV 34.63 dB 256QAM Downstream 2 49 549.00 MHz -5.26 dBmV 35.42 dB 256QAM Downstream 3 50 555.00 MHz -5.55 dBmV 34.77 dB 256QAM Downstream 4 51 561.00 MHz -5.50 dBmV 34.63 dB 256QAM Downstream 5 53 573.00 MHz -3.73 dBmV 37.09 dB 256QAM Downstream 6 54 579.00 MHz -3.50 dBmV 37.09 dB 256QAM Downstream 7 55 585.00 MHz -3.94 dBmV 37.09 dB 256QAM Downstream 8 56 591.00 MHz -3.89 dBmV 36.84 dB 256QAM
Upstream 1 38.00 MHz 49.50 dBmV DOCSIS2.0 (ATDMA) 5120 kSym/s 64QAM
I have a business IT client in another part of town. They are still seeing 4 Downstream Channels.

 | Suddenlink is already cramming 4 HD's into 1 qam in Lubbock. I don't see what the big deal is carrying 15 locals, that's only 4 QAMs, + 1.5 QAMs for the SD versions since they do 10:1 for SD |

it is a big deal when the outlying DMA counties that have different locals only have 2 QAM dedicated to HD locals and subchannels I think the system in Sulphur Springs has at least 4 to 6 QAMs for locals in HD. essentially it is keeping them from launching DOCSIS 3.0 there as that system still has analog and it is pretty much maxed out with Digital simulcast, VOD, 100 HD channels, digital tiers. |

cool are the frequencies: 555MHz 561MHz 567MHz
?
I have family in your area that have suddenlink at two different house and I know that I recognized those 3 QAM carriers as being available for internet last year or 2011 when I was there and I know that Suddenlink puts a lot of the HD channels up the 750MHz to 860MHz |
