Our 1.5 Mbps DSL service and newer FAST1704N router weeks after they had to spoon feed the firmware to the newer one & got us on the new protocol. Top test is speed we pay for allegedly on a day post technicians were out to repair the problems in our area after many hours of very poor erratic service. On a speedwave the preferred server ping rate auto elections to OKC and Dallas until I set the preferred server to Tulsa on Ookla but wait, we are in east Tulsa at the edge of Broken Arrow. During the problem period the server would alternate between Tulsa & Bixby and long distance servers 100 to 300 mi away. What in the world? My OS's, apps and browsers wether WIFI or cat 6 ethernet cable direct to new er win 7 pc I wired and tested myself which the techs & engineers have never faulted without being proven in error. When the tech was here he offered to upgrade us to 3.0 Mbps. Stupid me thought they could fix it but I should have taken it and ran. Unless the DSL is running very well we cant run video very frustrating. We use 9 mobile devices and 2dell pc's I keep in good order. Kids have wifi Apple ipod touch, a ps3 & we share 3 Galaxy S2 with Jelly Bean & 2 Galaxy tab 10.1 tabs with ICS all latest carrier supported versions. Bottom 2 pics are when latest probems were prevalent. Now am shopping for options.

Below via wifi on galaxy tablet no java machine but on flashfox browser that runs some java on pages hence no packet loss numbers. Below is win 7 about 1.5 yr old dell via cat 6 ethernet cable.

Selected server closest to us and its uglier below:
Good night test Windstream's test per the forum and their requirements.

Having hard time watching a video this morning early here below is some evidence why, btw for about a decade and a half with this service I have never seen but once any packet loss issues that were not a corroded crimp low to the ground level in the box across the street but everything else goes haywire:
Below tests within a couple of minutes of each other. Ping test keeps selecting far away servers based in lowest ping but speed test is set to tulsa allegedly the closest one. Couple minutes later click change server and its 500 miles away in LA! |
