[Network] Upload Provisioning Issues

Does Windstream NOT over provision upstream speed anymore?
I help manage and assist with our local church Internet connection as well as help with any computer/Internet issues our head minister experiences with his home connection. Both are set for a 6 Mb down 760 8K up speed. However the upload test always come back at 0.64 kbps which is 80 kB per second. Personally if I can get the upload set to 810 number so kilobits per second it would compensate for some of the overhead and allow them to get the full upload speed maybe a little more does Winnstream still do that? I haven't seen Windstream very active on this for much anymore

We apologize we do not provision over 768kbps. The 768kbps upstream speed was an upgrade that was completed back in March 2010. That gave our residential customers with speeds of 3mb and above a better upload speed. It use to be at 384kbps. Typically residential customers do not need more then that. But we do sell business packages that do give better upload speeds. So maybe the Church needs to see what Windstream offers to a business in his area. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Patricia

Patricia, I'm very well aware of the differences between the technology of the DSL connection versus cable connection but seriously is Windstream going to do anything to increased speeds? because when I can get this from the competition in my area
it makes Windstream look pretty sad.
