 | Pinning IE 10 to Desktop I am unable to get IE 10 to load to the old version of desktop on Windows 8. It was working fine until a couple of days ago, the icon is still in the task bar but nothing happens when I try to open IE 10 using the icon. It just sits and spins. I am able to open it from the Start charm and clicking on the icon on the metro desktop, but I like the old desktop better for SEVERAL reasons. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

That above procedure is for the 32 bit version. For the 64 bit version, navigate to C:\Program Files, and do the same as above.
Let us know whether this measure works for you.

 | Sorry, but that did not work, Freddy. I did exactly what you said, but still get the sit & spin with nothing ever coming up. |

Set your default browser to another browser (chrome, firefox, etc) and then try opening it... if it opens and you want it to be default set IE back as the default browser and test again. |

| reply to jtucksc You could try turning IE10 off and back on . First type "windows features" on the start screen....choose settings and you should see "turn windows features on and off" uncheck IE10.......restart the computer.
Repeat and check IE10..restart computer. |
