Wakjob join:2013-09-27 Deer Park, NY | Set Up Box I have the stand Motorola 2500 SD Set-Top Box. But I also have the Select package with 43 HD channels. Can I buy a box say..., one from ebay like the HD QIP 7100-1 and use it to get the other 43 channels? Does verizon track the box? Maybe you have to register the box in order to have it work..
What is my options?

Any boxes that are sold on ebay that are said to be Verizon boxes would be stolen, and Verizon wouldn't activate them for you. Another option, though, would be to get a box that accepts a cable card. You would lease the cable card from Verizon.
One last option - if your TV has a built-in QAM tuner, you can connect the cable directly to the TV's input, and scan for unscrambled channels. That would only include your locals, but you would get them in HD. |

Any FiOS STBs other than ones provided by Verizon directly can not be activated and are probably considered stolen property since all legitimate FIOS STBs are Verizon property. |
