So now Rogers is saying that the problem is fixed (without a site visit) but I cannot get onto my modem's web address (Thomson 475 - 192.168.100.1), or any other.
All the lights are solid green except for link which is flashing fast, and the US button is flashing slowly.
When I run windows diagnostics, it says that "Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration".
Sorry for not understanding all the tech talk here, but is this the DCHP issue everyone is talking about? Is there anything I can try other than resetting the modem (again) and rebooting? |

We understand that there are many customers affected during these outages.
If those of you who have not done so already. Please send us a message in the »TekSavvy Direct Forum so that we can troubleshoot your service and open a repair ticket for each and everyone of you.
The more repair tickets we open, the more we can track the issues that are happening.
Please note that outages are only reported because we have opened 5 repair tickets for the same issue. We rely on our customers to troubleshoot with us. The more repair tickets opened the merrier.

I have. The problem I have is that it takes a long time to get an answer, and in the meantime, I could be doing something else to fix it, which is why I am asking here.
Also, I hope I don't have to wait for another call to Rogers to come and fix the issue, as I had a schedule of either tomorrow, Sat or Monday, and I don't want that moved back because they "think" it is resolved. Very frustrating! |

Not *exactly* true. I had a call scheduled - no one confirmed, and now I am sure that they will not honour the original schedule, but bump me back to the bottom of the list again. |

They say KW issues are solved, this is not the case... there are many of us that still have DHCP issues, while our RF issues were solved two days ago only a few were able to get ip addresses.
Direct support forum seems to take at least one day for a response and often you get a response from different people who try to do step 1 over again or completely ignore the actual issue.......... I guess I will try calling again after 6pm when I get unlimited calling and wait on hold for hours. |

My RF issue was supposedly fixed as of 2:30am last night, but you're right - I still cannot get an IP address. |

Hey Jett, I'm in the Stanley park area of Kitchener, I'm not sure which one of those issues I fall under, but what I can tell you is when I reset my modem the "DS" light ends up flashes green a bit, the "US" light flashes green a bit, then it trips out an the colours go blue lol..On screen under local area connection doing the troubleshoot / diagnos it's telling me "local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration" gah, hoping someone can shed some light on this |

I guess it would appear that I too have the DHCP issues as well, now that there is a ticket open whats the next step?

I also cannot renew an IP address here in Waterloo. The cable was activated yesterday, rogers technician came in and told me the signal is good. However, the router cannot renew its WAN IP. Somehow, I got one IP around 7:00pm yesterday, but cannot get it anymore, after I rebooted the router.
I suspected the technician was aware of some issues, as he told me: "when you see my van left driveway, you can reset the modem to connect".
I have created a message on direct forum.

I'm in the Waterloo area and I had an issue as well today with Home phone, TV, and Internet going up and down for about an hour....my guess is they are doing some work in the area |

I didnt do anything, cable internet had just came back on its own, i suspect they were doing work in the area, i had seen a Bell truck earlier so idk.... i have been frequently resettin my modem if that helped, but it hasnt before, just kinda magically came back but eh, im not complaining anymore i got internet! |
