[Tampa] Anyone elses Motorola Surfboard wifi led comeon

I have Business Class, and asked the installer to turn wireless OFF.. anyway, a month or so went by, and around 1-2am the modem turned off and was recycling.. had to unplug and plug it back in to get it back to working.

BUT, I noticed something.. the Wireless green LED light was activated...

I Posted this in the private BHN forum for help, but I wanted to know if any of you guys had this same issue? not bridging or anything here either...

I have a static IP, and was THINKING of resetting the modem to enter the default username/pw to turn off the wireless, but I worried that it may wipe out my static IP as well.. would it??

Anyway, just curious..

BTW, I love the 35mb Business Class... (usually 40 btw) soooo nice.

I stay away from all those modem/router combo units so I wouldn't have to deal with all that. My Motorola SB6141 works perfectly for my needs, along with my amazing Asus RT-N66U router and my Asus RT-N56U router that i use as an access point for the other side of my house.
I see you have a static IP from your post. That is a good question about doing a reset not sure, I'm sure Gary BHNTechXpert will let you know

You will toast your statics if you do that. Follow the instructions I gave you in direct.

Yeah, don't reset that thing, it'll wipe out all the static ip info in there. Then Gary will have to put it all back for you. You wouldn't want to create more work for Gary would you? lol.

I too noticed that my wifi light came on during a modem recycle but I was told that, "the light might be on but wifi is not." I still wonder why it flashes like theres an active connection.

Gary... I reported that my orange Wi-Fi LED has been "on" for a while now. You told me back then not to worry. Based on this response to "steelingbox", should I open a new direct with you? Mind you, I am on the residential 90/10 service. Note that I do not see any activity on the air, but the orange LED does flicker as if it was processing data.

Actually your wifi was never turned off when you bridged...it has been fixed.
