iPhone iPad Uverse?

Hello, is there a known issue with Uverse and iPhones and iPads? Ever since I switch from DSL to Uverse, surfing Webpages with ether is slow.

Video Streaming works perfect and that is the reason I switched.

Any settings I should change in Router for WiFi?

Thanks!

Try changing your DNS settings.

Another thing to try is to forget the wireless connection and then recreate. Apple products in particular seem to need this.

I would recommend changing either to Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)

Just changed it too 68.94.156.1 after reading this post »U-verse 2Wire Wireless + Apple Problem & Solution

Seems to be working much better at the moment! Thanks Owine!!!

To help others compare their issues to yours, please post your U-verse gateway model# (perhaps one of the 2wire/pace: 3600, 3800, 3801?) and firmware version.

My router Modem is a Pace 5031nv. Would I be better off with a 2Wire 3600HGV?

Things still seem to be working good but there is still a little lag with the webpages. Should I turn off the firewall in the router because I have a firewall through Norton?

The Pace 5031NV is a new device. It is significantly better than the Pace 3600.

Does webgui for 5031nv show IPv6 enabled (in older pace: settings/LAN/status or settings/LAN/IPv6) ? If so, can you disable it and retest using original DNS settings?

Thank you very much for the info Brooke!!!

I can not find the info you wanted me to look for. I went where you suggested and every other place on the router and just can't seem to find it. Any ideas?

This is the options under LAN Settings:

Status Wireless DHCP IP Address Allocation Statistics

I went to all of them.

Things are still slow. I think this might be the problem after reading the link you sent. I am going to test the Webpages they suggested now.

Thanks!

Just went to the both sites recommended by the link you sent Brooke and both pages loaded fast.

As a matter of fact it seems that everything is working great at the moment so I don't have a clue now!

Spoke too soon. Webpages are hanging again. I have to hit the back button and then the forward button and then the page loads fine on Iphone 5 ios7
