Hmm.

My two reactions.

If Sprint goes under, what happens to their networks?

And if Sprint does NOT go under, but in fact makes a miraculous comeback, this could be the time to buy Sprint stock!

How do you summize they are going out of Business ? They just got a ton of money by being bought out by Softbank . They have more bandwidth at this point than any carrier with the Nextel bandwidth on 800 mhz and the clear bandwidth on 2600 mhz . The CEO at Softbank was telling people to be patient big improvements are coming . Softbank did not buy them to go out of business. They are going to take a serious run at Verizon and At&T . I swear at times you post just to see how many people you can upset.

Masayoshi Son, aka softbank, is already past 80% sprint ownership. If it got bad he would just grab the last (less than) 20% at a steal... sprints stock holders and board has been their biggest problem for the last 10 years imo.

Let's just hope he (Masayoshi Son) doesn't get pulled into the cellcousa collusion before he can give us some good value service

Sprint is not going under. It will be next year before network upgrades are done, probably later in the year and maybe stragglers into 2015. The network will show improvement long before it is complete.
Son knows it will take the completed network and time plus new ads to draw in new customers due to Sprint's badly tarnished image. So he is not promising miracles that will not happen but being realistic. If somehow many get surprised later by the improvements and turnaround so much the better. But he has not set unrealistic expectations which is a good thing. Always under promise and over deliver, not the other way around.
