[DSL] Does anyone else get low upload speeds with DSLX?

Ran speedtest and it says:
Upload Speed: 430 kbps (53.8 KB/s transfer rate)

Ookla rates as F+

On a 3000/512Kbps connection

this is about right for 512 sync after accounting for 15% overhead (512*.85=435). what isn't right is your sync, should be 768k upload (864 sync) for a 3Mbps down package. what are the rest of the transciever statistics?

Download @ 2.51 mbps
ping 44ms

also stated Warning: ISP upload compression was detected

ping isn't too bad, and down seems to be ok. never heard of upload compression on dslx.

what stats is the modem reporting (sync as well as margin, attenuation, power, and if available max attainable rate)

Honestly, this is the first I've heard of 'upload compression', so I'm trying to get info on it... but that does suggest that it's not something we're actually implementing here. What I've found online suggests that the test is uploading 'blank' chunks of data alongside 'populated' chunks of data, and generates that warning if the 'blank' data transmits faster... and most discussions regarding such simply say to ignore it.

Still, trying to get more info on it; if I find anything, I"ll let you know.

(DSLvis's connection is on an AT&T circuit which is indeed 3000/512 btw, nothing to be concerned about there)

I'm trying to understand how to obtain stats from the modem which is a D-link 2320B.

I ran another speed test

also a line quality test:

I have posted my results from the same test.

As you can see it doesn't say, "Warning: ISP upload compression was detected ", on my read out.

I sure wouldn't worry about it.

Your download speed is much better.
Are you on the same plan? (3000/512)

Tough to argue with that. I'm on 1Mb/384Kb in Houston but ping sucks to Denver for some reason.
