what stats is the modem reporting (sync as well as margin, attenuation, power, and if available max attainable rate) |

 dslx_nickPremium join:2011-12-24 Chatsworth, CA kudos:20 | Honestly, this is the first I've heard of 'upload compression', so I'm trying to get info on it... but that does suggest that it's not something we're actually implementing here. What I've found online suggests that the test is uploading 'blank' chunks of data alongside 'populated' chunks of data, and generates that warning if the 'blank' data transmits faster... and most discussions regarding such simply say to ignore it.
Still, trying to get more info on it; if I find anything, I"ll let you know.
(DSLvis's connection is on an AT&T circuit which is indeed 3000/512 btw, nothing to be concerned about there) |

As you can see it doesn't say, "Warning: ISP upload compression was detected ", on my read out.
I sure wouldn't worry about it. |
