| [Bill] HSI price increased? So has anyone got their bill this month and notice a higher price on the internet?
I got my bill and the internet went up 4 dollars. from 50.95 to 54.95
We have a promo that gives us 20 dollars off our bill, and that's still showing. So the promo we have hasn't ended.
Also on an unrelated note our Basic cable went up 2 dollars, from 15.95 to 17.95. I'm beginning to think it might be time to drop basic cable now to save a few dollars. (Yes, i know the internet bill will go up, be it about 5 dollars or so less than having basic cable now) |

Lots of price increases in the Portland, OR area that went into effect on Oct 1. Pretty much $2-3 for each of TV and Internet services. This is kind of unusual since they've been regularly increasing both each year but at separate times. I really hope that doesn't mean there's going to be a total of 3 price increases within 12 months.
So if you got a setup similar to HD/DVR (+$1) + digital econ/starter/preferred (+$3) + performance/blast (+$2) + modem rental (+$1)....that's a $7 increase in your monthly bill. |

Luckly we own our modem, and haven't had any problem with them trying to charge for our modem yet.
I think we got one more month of the 20 dollars off our bill promo, and then dad's gonna drop basic cable.
Funny how you could get basic cable for the same price as standalone internet back in 2004 when we got comcast. not it's actually cheaper to have standalone internet. |

When you say attached to your current bill, do you mean there was a section on your actual bill that talked about these changes, or was it a separate piece of paper included with your bill that had all this information on it.
Just asking to help clarify where your notice was at. For those people that don't get a paper copy of their bill in the mail, if it was actually on the bill itself (like a news/updates section), then it would also be viewable online when you view your full pdf bill.
I'll have to look at my current bill a bit closer then to see if I have such a notice or not.

My bill was six pages long. What I posted was the 4th and 5th page of the bill as displayed online. It wasn't in the news section rather it was the last two pages of the bill. |

My bill for "Internet Only" went up without warning! At least no warning I saw. I'm VERY UNHAPPY for the change from 44.99 to 64.95. That's almost a $20 increase!! ($19.96) This is in western Pennsylvania.
Service has been active for 12 months. I thought the promo period was the first few months.. but to raise it another $20 a year later! UGH! The $29.99 starting rate was nice.. but this is beyond reasonable for ~25mbps service.

It sounds like your promo was for 12 months, and it has ended. $65 is roughly correct for Performance Internet with no bundling. |

Furthermore, some Comcast promos have two steps: For example, you get a very low price for the first 6 months, a lower price for the second 6 months and then the regular price after a year. |

As mentioned , thats what it cost without bundling. Comcast has been setting up promotions to go like that. Basically its set not to go up more than 20 dollars at a time. But yea the terms are discussed when signing up for the promo so typically thats when you received notice. |

I just now looked at my bill online (the PDF File) and it is only 4 pages long. At the very bottom of my bill, I have this

CHANNEL NAME CHANGES Effective on or around 11/4/2013, Utilisima will change its name to Fox Life.
So, whatever you got on your bill was not present on mine. At least, not yet....
