[IA] Tivo DVR

I noticed in a mediacom ad the other day they are finally offering Tivo DVRs in my area (dubuque). I checked the website and didn't see any details on what that meant.

So for those who have them, how is the experience? Is it new DVR boxes than the current ones? How much space do you have, more or less than the current ones? How much more does it cost? Any reason to get this over an official Tivo box?

Currently TiVo DVR's are available in your area if you are setup for whole home DVR, but not as individual units. The storage associated with these devices would be 500GB. They do not cost different than the current DVR equipment we have in the field.

Current GB amounts vary by box, some are less than others. The current whole home DVR setups though typically come with 500GB of storage. Yes the whole house setup will have all shows recorded in one menu.

Only 500GB? wow for new tech that is small. I'm sure there not in my market yet.

You can always buy a TiVO approved external HDD and expand your storage space.
