awebberPremium join:2003-04-02 Gloucester, ON | [Internet] Does Bell prorate add-ons, price and qty? Looking at possibly running out of data. With the new $4/GB overage rate, the $5/25GB add-on looks pretty good (which is why they increased the overage rate, presumably).
If I add the $5/25GB a week before the cycle end, I'm pretty sure they prorate the package (am I right?). But then do they also prorate the extra data, e.g. if there's a week left do they charge $1.25/6.25GB, or $5/25GB and it's up to you to consume that much in a week?
And do they prorate when you cancel, and again do they also prorate the extra data?
Thanks! =aw -- Webber's occasional bargain blog: www.wwwebber.com

11th of the month.
I'm 73% of the way through this cycle and have used 82% of my allowance. I may be able to squeeze through the month without going over, but with the new $4/GB overage rates, I don't have to go over by much to be worth paying $5/25GB (which of course is the reason they just jacked up the PAYG overage rates).

 | Does this situation happen often? There is an unlimited usage plan for 10 bucks a month if you have 3 services |

awebberPremium join:2003-04-02 Gloucester, ON | Thanks for the suggestion. I have only one service so it's $30. I usually bump up close to my limit but usually I end up at about 85-90% of my limit (which requires monitoring but once I get to 80% I know to be careful for the rest of month).
I'm on a 40GB/mo plan to another $5 for 25GB would really increase the limit as a percentage.
