Re: [Outages] Outage Report -- October 3rd, 2013 8:40AM *update*

i've post in direct support, but I'm not sure if a ticket has been opened or not. I thought it may have been until a support tech then started asking me basic questions again. Can I get an update ? waiting 7 hours to get basic questions over again is kind of frustrating.

I feel your pain. I just heard back after waiting since 7am this morning, and they want all the same info I gave them 3 days ago.

If I give them all this info, then I go back to the bottom of the list and wait another 7 to 12 hours to get another response that still doesn't get me back online. If they know it is an issue, send out a Rogers tech! In the meantime, my previously scheduled appointment for tomorrow, Saturday or Monday will not likely be pushed back another week.

This really is BS.

Sigh. I started posting in Direct forums last Wednesday and after a bunch of daily back and forths, I didn't get a ticket submitted until TODAY. A whole week where work could've been done. Now 72 hours for Rogers to respond. I'm very sad right now. Tek, this is why you need to get the phones working again, the Direct forums aren't meant for this type of technical support. It took me a week to get a ticket. WTF.

They want me to submit power levels & stats as well to submit a ticket. It'll be over 12 hrs after the internet first went out before I'm home and able to check my modem. I know they have to follow Rogers' rules but I'm sure Rogers knows about the outages cause I'm pretty positive it's them monkeying around with things. The BS part is they don't care that it affects 3rd parties. There's no way they would do this to their own users.

What difference does a ticket make when it's the entire area that's out? This is my parents' connection so I can't go through the troubleshooting from where I am.

Heh kimks3, I'm in exactly the same situation as you.

TSI, you guys are making it extremely hard for me to remain a customer with outages pretty much every other day . Whether or not things are under your control, I hope you understand customers can't be expected to put up with service this poor.

I just got home and seems like my connection is back up (Etobicoke - M8Y).
I had DHCP issues, and not the RF signal issues (since my modem was online the entire time).
Just wanted to let everyone know.

Having packet loss all day in L4S... It's at 3 - 5% right now which seriously impacts usability.

Down in downtown Toronto (M5A)
Put in a ticket this morning - DHCP issue.

So might as well add that to Bloor having DHCP & RF signal issues.

Killer thing is that net was working perfectly fine last night.......

Something has to be done as I am not going back to Rogers as their crap is overpriced for what it is.
I know that there is a complaint in with the CRTC but it has to go beyond that - you guys need to do something drastic to get their attention to change their business practices.

Does this look like Signal (RF) issues?
I also have a lot of other errors.

Not sure what to make of this. Is this an RF or DHCP issue?

Also, it's stuck on "Establish IP Connectivity Using DHCP - In progress.

Up until 20 mins ago I just had three blinking lights. Now all lights are on but I'm still not actually able to go on the Internet or do anything...? If I could have any response whatsoever from customer service it'd be great. I'd call again but after being on hold or a combined hour and 20 minutes yesterday I'm short on minutes for the month.

Thanks tek savvy, for some of the worst customer service iv ever had. At least you're consistent with something :/

For teoubleshooting purposes:

Toronto M2J still out since yesterday afternoon (Oct 03). Now I do not have a dial tone at all. Landline was working until evening of Oct 03. Now (Oct 04 @ 2:30 pm) there is no dial tone and no internet access.

404/401 area. Thank you.
