If your magicJack is inserted into the computer when you shut down, I understand why you would want it to start up with Windows. However, I haven't field tested this, so I don't know from experience if that works. In your experience, if it did it on Windows XP but now doesn't on Windows 7, it may be that you have to
assign administrative privileges to the app so that it can launch on windows startup. I'm not sure if that's possible, since every time it boots up, it seems to re-install -- a very unfortunate circumstance, because you don't want stuff to install without your direct permission, but there you have it.
Internet should not
need to be running during computer boot up, but you'll get an error when you try to dial out if you're not connected, as I'm sure you know.
