| For pfsense 2.x »www.freebsd.org/releases/8.1R/ha···ETHERNET Look carefully, the usb ethernet section is split into more than one placement, it's listed by driver, not by type of hardware. -- ~ Project Hope ~ |

I used a CP Technologies CP-USB-RJ45M on my Alix board. It used a Realtek RTL8150 chip.
It was slow, just over 5mbit max probably due to the USB1.1 interface on the Alix. |

I had a USB 2.0 ALIX adapter when I first started using pfsense - would lose connection all the time. If there is any way to use PCI or PCIe Intel boards that would be my suggestion! |

I agree with this and since its Linux I would suggest Intel NICs, Other brands have support too but I have never had an issue with an Intel NIC and Linux -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |
