Upload speed

I am on the Optik 50/10. When I do a speed test my upload is around 10 Mbps, but when I am actually uploading a file to my own site I can never go over 1 Mbps. My main concern is the upload speed will climb to around 1 Mbps, but then drop to 50 Kbps then up to 200 Kbps then down to 30 Kbps and so on and so on, but will never go back up to the 1 Mbps usually staying between 30 Kbps and 200 Kbps. Is this a best case scenario?

Have you tried other speedtest servers?
Is your modem bridged?
Is this over Wifi or Ethernet. Test with Ethernet. Just throwing out some ideas. If all else fails contact Symtex/Telus
Where are you uploading too? Have you tried a YT video or mega.co.nz?

The connection is wired and I am uploading to a server that has no restrictions on speed, but it happens no matter where I upload to, the upload speed is very erratic.

Can you post a speedtest to servers outside of BC? Where is the server you are uploading to hosted?

Depending on what server your are trying to upload to and where, there may be limits on the server end, not Telus. I've had servers hosted in a few places and some are faster to upload to than others.
