[General] Limitation on received texts

My mother has a Verizon plan with per text charge. She doesn't text. Sometimes people send her a text which she gets charged for. Is there any way to put a limitation on the account that you don't want to receive more than 5 texts per month? How about zero texts? Many younger people automatically assume that they can text a number, and I am a little concerned she might end up with a big bill if someone goes nuts one day.

Customer service can place a text block on the account. In addition, if you have setup online account management, you can enable blocking yourself. There is no charge for blocking whether you call a CSR or DIY through the online portal.
